Bring the family and join us for Nights at Sugar Hill, an evening of music, art-making work-shops and the special opening preview of our new summer shows, Look and Listen: Life is all around us by 2017-2018 Artist-in-Residence Leslie Jimenez and Damien Davis: For Demetrius, the culminating exhibition by our current Artist-in-Residence.. The evening’s featured musical guest is Bertha Hope. A professional pianist for more than six decades, Bertha Hope has toured globally with artists like Nat Adderley, Dizzy Gillespie and Eddie Henderson, while being a respected educator and bandleader in her own right, with several albums under her name. In 2018 she won the National Jazz Museum in Harlem's Legends of Jazz Award.
