SUMMER CAMP AT SUGAR HILL
JULY 9 - 27, 2018
Come count rainbows with us and register for the Summer Camp of Light at Sugar Hill! This special program caters to children ages 3-8, working alongside Teaching Artists and Storytellers whose practice includes all media of the visual arts as well as theater and movement. Campers will spend three weeks exploring the use of light as a medium, looking deeply into how it affects the way we experience our environments and how we can alter it to create different effects. They will also investigate a range of vocabulary through material exploration as well as using light and shadow to create individual and collective stories. Guest artists will share their professional practice and expand the children's exposure to the arts.
All camp activities will take place at Sugar Hill in fully air-conditioned spaces. Children will have access to galleries, Studio Labs, and our beautiful interior courtyards.

About our Camp program
The Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling offers day-long camp experiences during the summer. Our educational staff and visiting artists guide and engage campers through various art exploration activities, both individually and collectively, as they explore a larger theme, all culminating in a final event.
