Choreographer, Sita Frederick draws inspiration from our exhibit ANA MENDIETA: Thinking About Children's Thinking to create an interactive storytelling performance featuring the Cuban folktale La Cucaracha Martina. Frederick is the artistic director of Areytos Performance Works. Based in Washington Heights, her performances have been hosted by venues at the University of Texas, Syracuse University, and Pregones Theater. Art making was inspired by the performance.
