This Sping/Winter term, the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling partnered with six schools, conducting weekly workshops for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Inspired by the question “What does it mean to be a global citizen?” our Artist Educators, worked with the school’s classroom teachers, led students on a journey of art making and creative discovery. Each workshop consisted of original curricula designed with the specific school in mind. The varieties of class content included storytelling through creative movement, rhythm and sound and exploring a variety of interesting and unusual materials.
Be sure to check out some of the amazing works created by these students throughout the weekend in our special pop-up exhibition 'Journey of Invention and Imagination.' Featured schools include PS28, PS192 and the Peartree Preschool, among others.
